Apps and websites

bWalletX opens Bitcoin apps and lets websites ask it to pay or sign. Nothing happens without your tap.

The Apps tab, in the middle of the bottom bar, is a store of Bitcoin apps. Tap one to open it inside the wallet. Each app has a phone-sized or desktop-sized layout.

Apps open in bWalletX’s own browser. An app can ask the wallet to pay, sign or share your public identity. Your keys never go to the app; the wallet does the signing.

bWalletX is a BRC-100 wallet, the open standard BSV websites use to talk to wallets.

  • Extension: visit a site that supports BRC-100 wallets and choose bWalletX. The extension answers.
  • Phone: scan the site’s QR code with bWalletX to pair it (Pair by QR).
  • Web wallet: Settings › Be the wallet websites connect to lets the web wallet answer sites in the same browser.

When an app or site asks for something, bWalletX shows one sheet with everything in the request: what you’ll pay, to whom, what you’ll sign, and what it can see. Approve once, or decline. There are no chains of pop-ups.

For small everyday payments you can skip the sheet with one-click pay and a per-action limit (Settings and security).

  1. On the website, choose to connect with a phone wallet. It shows a QR code.
  2. In bWalletX, tap Scan and scan it.
  3. Approve the connection.

Settings › Paired computers & websites lists every pairing. Remove one to disconnect it.

Settings › Websites lists every site that may ask your wallet for things. Remove a site to cut it off. It will have to ask again.

The Apps tab and browser are in both editions. bWallet (store edition) leaves out apps that sell outside the store or run exchanges.
